Revised UGC-NET Schedule Announced: Exams Scheduled from August 21 to September 4 – Subject-Wise Detailed Information

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a revised schedule for the UGC-NET June 2024 exam. The examination will take place from August 21 to September 4, 2024, in a computer-based test (CBT) mode across 83 subjects.
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor, the Assistant Professor post alone, or admittance to Ph.D. programs are among the objectives of the UGC-NET. The detailed UGC-NET syllabus and exam dates are now available for candidates preparing for the exam.
The notification regarding the examination city and center will be published on the NTA websites, about 10 days before the exam.
Here is the subject-wise schedule:
August 21, 2024: Shift 1 (09:00 AM – 12:00 PM) – English, Japanese, Performing Art (Dance/Drama/Theatre), Electronic Science. Shift 2 (03:00 PM – 06:00 PM) – English, Dogri, Spanish, Russian, Persian, Comparative Study of Religions, Hindu Studies.
August 22, 2024: Shift 1 – Social Work, Home Science, Music, French (French Version), Adult Education/Continuing Education/Andragogy/Non-Formal Education, Indian Culture, Buddhist; Jaina; Gandhian and Peace Studies, Archaeology. Shift 2 – Public Administration, Education.
August 23, 2024: Shift 1 – Computer Science and Applications. Shift 2 – Bengali, Chinese, Rajasthani, Arab Cultures.
August 28, 2024: Shift 1 – Museology & Conservation, Economics, Rural Economics, Co-operation, Demography, Development Planning, Development Studies, Econometrics, Applied Economics, Development Economics, Business Economics. Shift 2 – Punjabi, Tamil, Geography.

Earlier, on July 29, the Supreme Court dismissed a PIL challenging the cancellation of the UGC-NET June exam, which was postponed due to an alleged question paper leak. The case has since been referred to the CBI for further investigation.
